Academic Project

In my Information Systems course, I was assigned a semester-long project to design a database system using Microsoft Access. The challenge was to analyze a fictional business scenario, model its data processes, and build a working prototype that met specific business reporting needs.

I gathered requirements from the case prompt, designed entity-relationship diagrams, and used Microsoft Access to create tables, forms, and complex queries. I also used SQL and basic Python to test data functionality. For the final step, I created visual summaries and dashboards using Excel and Tableau.

I earned top marks on the project and developed hands-on experience in database design, data modeling, and reporting—skills that are foundational for marketing analytics. This project taught me how to translate business needs into technical solutions and present them clearly to a non-technical audience.
